“Every artist was first an amateur”

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

I wasn't planning on writing a blog post tonight, but I feel like writing so I figured I would give you guys some reading material while you lay in bed this evening. Tonight, I will answer a question that I have been getting from a lot of people lately.  What do I do? Most of the questions you guys have been asking came after my "Beginning of a New Adventure" blog post from a couple of weeks ago. In that post I told y'all that I was off to school to become a 4512 Combat Graphics Specialist for the United States Marine Corps. At the time, I hadn't started school yet and couldn't elaborate on what exactly I would be learning, but during these past couple of weeks I have it- somewhat- figured out. For the most part, a Combat Graphics Specialist, creates graphics in both electronic and print formats to support the Marine Corps' missions.

I am basically an artist for the military.

The last couple weeks I have been learning basic drawing and shading techniques and will continue in manual arts until the end of the month when we switch to graphic design and layout. I have no prior experience in drawing, so at I wasn't sure how I would do. So far so good though!

I am very excited because these skills will help me better my craft in photography. I will keep y'all updated on my progress as I go. Be sure to follow my Facebook page so you can catch my latest post! I hope this answered some questions and if you have any more please continue ask. You can message me on social media or just add your question in the comments below.

Welp, I have a lot of homework to do, so I am peacing out.

Until next time,
