It's that time again. Time to get on another flight and leave behind everything that I've ever known, and everything that I love, to take the next step in living a dream I've had for so long.
Since joining the military six months ago, I have submerged myself into a whole new lifestyle, or culture, if you will. The hardest part, so far, is leaving behind my husband and daughter. I will be the first to admit that I completely underestimated the heart wrench that would occur from doing so. Being the spouse of a former service member I thought I had a pretty decent idea of what it all must be like, what it must feel like to have to leave. After all, I had been left quite a few times as my husband had to tend to his duties. Little did I know that what I was getting myself into was an entire different realm of this lifestyle.
I try to keep a positive outlook, after all I did sign up for this. So, here I am, living the life I had always dreamed of.
There are two things I have always been passionate about, two things that I have always deemed as important as the air that I breathe, and those two things are travel and photography. I had also always dreamed of serving in the military, and last year I got the opportunity to do all three.
My journey currently takes me to Maryland, where I will study to be a Combat Graphics Specialist for the United States Marine Corps. I am beyond excited.
My plan for this blog is to share my experiences with the world as I dabble into travel photography. Since I won't be settled in one spot to have a home based clientele, I am turning Britany Lynne Photography into something more personal. I am very excited about what the future has in store and I can't wait for all the new content I will be able to share of my experiences.
My first time seeing the Great Lakes. Also my first time in Michigan.
Give me feedback on what you guys think. If there is anything you would like to see me do an entry on in the DC/Baltimore area send me an emailor leave a comment below!
I do want to say thank you to all of my family and friends who have supported me through this journey. I could't do it without you!!!!
